Herbal remedies for menopause and its alternative treatment
Herbal remedies for menopause and its alternative treatment
Menopause is a situation in which the menstruation of a woman stops for one year and ends her reproductive cycle. This is just a normal occasion in a woman’s life. It occurs in every woman when she achieves her late thirties to early fifties. Menopause happens under the influence of hormonal changes in the body. When a woman reaches this period, there are physical and chemical changes that happen and many women practice mood swings, depression, rage, hot flashes, cold sweats, vaginal dryness, urinary changes such as dribbling or repeated urination and burning, and changes in both menstruation and xxx drive. If this happens, the woman must take brilliant care of her health and nutrition. Those who encourage themselves well make it through this stage in a excellent manner.
Menopause is the shutting down of child bearing ability of the woman, and as women go through menopause, their bodies do not produce sufficient amounts of the female hormones.
Many women have to undergo uncomfortable menopausal symptoms; but many herbal remedies have been known to relieve menopausal symptoms.
Thinking of going through hormone replacement therapy to help ease your menopausal symptoms? Have you considered trying some herbal remedies first to see if they help? Rather than go for a drastic option, the use of herbal remedies may be worth a try as they are natural and comparatively safer.
In fact, there are many herbal remedies that can help deal with the various menopausal symptoms that you are having. These include herbal remedies to alleviate your existing condition of night sweats, hot flashes, and vaginal dryness, loss of xxx drive, memory loss, depression and sudden mood swings.
Menopause is often referred to as the change. It is often a hard period for the sufferer as well as those around. Also, it can get depressing as weight gain is a possible outcome during menopause.
Here are some of the alternative herbal remedies for menopause:-
-Ginseng: this is the most well loved herb used by women who are experiencing menopause. Although there are many types of ginseng – e.g. white and red, Siberian, American etc. they are all used for increasing/boosting the immune system functions and for relieving stress. The constant use of ginseng can help women improve their feeling of well-being. But, studies have shown that ginseng does not relieve hot flashes, which is a common occurrence with menopausal women.
-Valerian root: This herb has been used as a sedative but it is known to have side effects. The constant use of this herb has been known to cause heart problems and delirium!
-Black co-hose: this herb is only helpful for small periods, it is very effective for treating hot flashes and night sweats for up to six months (or less). This herb will no longer work after six months of use.
Before you try any of these herbal remedies, consult with your doctor. You have to make sure that the herbal remedies for menopause do not interact negatively with the other medications that you may be on. Also, you would need to question your doctor or herbalist for the recommended dosages of herbal remedies for your specific case. What is useful is to know that hormone replacement therapy is not the one and only solution if you want to ease your menopausal symptoms. There are many herbal remedies out there that can help you alleviate your suffering!

Himalaya menosan is very useful herbal remedies for menopause treatment and an alternative to hormone replacement therapy.
Chronic Low Back Pain— Symptoms, Causes, Prevention and Treatment
There are three stages of low back pain:
Acute: if it lasts less than six weeks
Sub-acute: if it lasts from six to twelve weeks
Chronic: if it persists beyond twelve weeks.
A large number of causes for our back pain are rooted in its lower area. The lower back is an axle over which most muscle movements take place.
Symptoms
Low back pain, as the name suggests, occurs not only in the lower back, but it may also occur at the bottom of the ribs and at the top of the legs. It travels towards the buttocks and down to the legs reaching sometime to the feet. It generally occurs without any warning.
It becomes worse when a person bends or even sits in an simple chair. You cannot change sides even in the bed. You feel spasms of pain in your back muscles even if you sneeze or cough.
Causes
A major cause of the low back pain is the strain upon the muscles or other soft structures such as tendons and ligaments connected to the back bones. Sometimes, a disc in our lumber spine, which acts as a cushion between the bones, gets strained and bulges out. It presses against the  nerve located close to it causing what we call low back pain.
Prevention
Exercises
The key to preventing the occurrence of low back pain is to stay fit and active by taking low back specific exercises regularly.
Right Posture
1.Maintain right posture in whatever position you are, whether you are sitting, standing or working.
2.Be careful while lifting heavy objects. It is better to call someone to help you rather than lift it alone.
3.Hold your load close to your body.
4.Try to bend at your knees rather than at your back. Carry your load such as shopping on both your sides. It is better to use shopping trolley.
Treatment
You can treat your back pain at your level if it is at the initial stage. Take rest after workouts. You may also take simple pain killers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen, if needed.
But if your low back pain has become chronic, you must see your doctor. He may conduct a CT or MRI scan to diagnose the real cause of the problem.
Are you suffering from chronic low  back pain? It does not matter that you have suffered from it for 10, 15 or even 30 years. You would be completely cured in just 21 days even if you are a lost case. Click Here Right Now    to learn more about how you can get quick and permanent relief from your back pain.

Reductil: Medical weight loss option for the treatment of obesity
Obesity is found to increase mortality rate and has many unhealthy effects on body like making breathing hard, increasing chances of diabetes and cholesterol, increasing the risk of cancer and many more. Obesity is not classed by being a few pounds overweight, but only if a person has BMI of over 27 or 30, then can he or she be termed as overweight or obese. For instance if you are 5ft 4inches and weigh 90kgs, you are obese and need to do something about it quick.
The first step to be taken is resorting to calorie-controlled diet and exercise regime. If they don’t work, then take the advice from a health expert or a doctor. Nowadays, many obese and overweight people go to doctors to question for a prescription for Reductil weight loss medication. Find out more about this drug below:
How Reductil sibutramine work?
Reductil is an appetite suppressant. The active ingredient sibutramine in Reductil works by affecting neurotransmitters (natural body chemicals that are stored in nerve cells) in the brain. Reductil affects two neurotransmitters, noradrenaline and serotonin, from being absorbed back into the nerve cells, which are responsible for moderating mood and various other processes in the brain. With these chemicals free to act in the brain, it makes you feel less hungry and more fulfilled. Thus, you do not over eat and do not go for snacks in between meals. If your food habits are responsible for your weight gain, Reductil is a fantastic option for you.
Reductil Precautions
There are many precautions to be taken for Reductil, as it is not safe for people with certain conditions.
People who should be cautious while on Reductil are people with mild to moderately decreased kidney function or liver function, high blood pressure, epilepsy, open angle glaucoma, family history of glaucoma, involuntary, recurrent muscle twitches or vocalisations (motor or verbal tics) and depression, increased risk of bleeding and syndrome involving small spells when breathing stops during sleep.
Reductil should not be used in people over 65 years of age or under 18 years of age. If a person’s obesity is caused by a medical condition or has severely decreased kidney function or liver function, uncontrolled high blood pressure, history of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, drug, alcohol or medication abuse, coronary artery disease, heart failure, increased heart rate, irregular heart beats, stroke or blocked arteries in the extremities; he or she should steer clear of Reductil.
People with closed angle glaucoma, overactive thyroid gland, tumour of the adrenal gland, urinary retention caused by an enlarged prostate gland, psychiatric illness, syndrome characterised by involuntary repetition of speech, particularly obscene or vulgar words (Tourette’s syndrome), taking antidepressant, antipsychotic or appetite suppressant medicines, or tryptophan to aid sleep, in the last 14 days should also not take Reductil.
Pregnant women and lactating mothers should also refrain from Reductil.
Rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should stay away from Reductil as it contains lactose.
Reductil side effects
Some of the side effects of Reductil are dry mouth, insomnia, nausea, vomiting, light-headedness, headache, sweating and anxiety. Some serious side effects of Reductil are aggravation of haemorrhoids, increased heart rate, hypertension, depression, seizures and kidney disorders. Consult a doctor if you want to know more side effects of his medication. By and large, most people experience no side effects, but it is vital to be aware of any side effect of medication to reach to an informed choice.

Low Back Pain
What is the Anatomy of the low back?
The first step to understanding the various causes of low back pain is learning about the normal design (anatomy) of the tissues of this area. Vital structures of the low back that can be related to symptoms there include the bony lumbar spine (vertebrae), discs between the vertebrae, ligaments around the spine and discs, spinal cord and nerves, muscles of the low back, internal organs of the pelvis and abdomen, and the skin covering the lumbar area…
What is the function of the low back?
The low back, or lumbar area, serves a number of vital functions for the human body. These functions include structural support, movement, and protection of certain body tissues.
When we stand, the lower back is functioning to hold most of the weight of the body. When we bend, extend or rotate at the waist, the lower back is involved in the movement. Therefore, injury to the structures vital for weight bearing, such as the bony spine, muscles, tendons, and ligaments, often can be detected when the body is standing erect or used in various movements.
Protecting the soft tissues of the nervous system and spinal cord as well as nearby organs of the pelvis and abdomen is a critical function the lumbar spine and its adjacent muscles…
What are common causes of low back pain?
Common causes of low back pain include :-
1] Strain (acute, chronic) : – A lumbar strain is a stretching injury to the ligaments, tendons, and/or muscles of the low back. The stretching incident results in microscopic tears of varying degrees in these tissues. Lumbar strain is considered one of the most common causes of low back pain…
2] Nerve irritation : – The nerves of the lumbar spine can be irritated by mechanical impingement or disease any where along their paths—from their roots at the spinal cord to the skin surface. These conditions include lumbar disc disease (radiculopathy), bony encroachment, and inflammation of the nerves caused by a viral infection (shingles)…
3] Lumbar radiculopathy : – Lumbar radiculopathy is nerve irritation that is caused by hurt to the discs between the vertebrae. Hurt to the disc occurs because of degeneration (“wear and tear”) of the outer ring of the disc, traumatic injury, or both..
4] Bony encroachment : – Any condition that results in movement or growth of the vertebrae of the lumbar spine can limit the space (encroachment) for the adjacent spinal cord and nerves. Causes of bony encroachment of the spinal nerves include foraminal narrowing (narrowing of the portal through which the spinal nerve passes from the spinal column, out of the spinal canal to the body), spondylolisthesis (slippage of one vertebra relative to another), and spinal stenosis (compression of the nerve roots or spinal cord by bony spurs or other soft tissues in the spinal canal)..
5] Bone and joint conditions : – Bone and joint conditions that lead to low back pain include those existing from birth (congenital), those that result from wear and tear (degenerative) or injury, and those that are from inflammation of the joints (arthritis)..
6] Congenital bone conditions :- Congenital causes (existing from birth) of low back pain include scoliosis and spina bifida. Scoliosis is a sideways (lateral) curvature of the spine that can be caused when one lower extremity is shorter than the other (functional scoliosis) or because of an abnormal design of the spine (structural scoliosis)…
7] Degenerative bone and joint conditions :- As we age, the water and protein content of the body’s cartilage changes. This change results in weaker, thinner, and more fragile cartilage. Because both the discs and the joints that stack the vertebrae (facet joints) are partly composed of cartilage, these areas are subject to wear and tear over time (degenerative changes)…
8] Injury to the bones and joints :- Breaks (breakage of bone) of the lumbar spine and sacrum bone most commonly affect elderly people with osteoporosis, especially those who have taken long-term cortisone medication…
9] Arthritis :- The spondyloarthropathies are inflammatory types of arthritis that can affect the lower back and sacroiliac joints…
What are other causes of low back pain?
Other causes of low back pain include :-
1] Kidney problems : – Kidney infections, stones, and traumatic bleeding of the kidney (hematoma) are frequently associated with low back pain…
2] Pregnancy : – Pregnancy commonly leads to low back pain by mechanically stressing the lumbar spine (changing the normal lumbar curvature) and by the positioning of the baby inside of the abdomen…
3] Ovary problems : – Ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, and endometriosis not infrequently cause low back pain. Precise diagnosis can require gynecologic examination and testing…
4] Tumors : – Low back pain can be caused by tumors, either benign or malignant, that originate in the bone of the spine or pelvis and spinal cord (primary tumors) and those which originate elsewhere and spread to these areas (metastasize)…
What are uncommon causes of low back pain?
Uncommon causes of low back pain include :-
1] Paget’s disease of bone : – Paget’s disease of the bone is a condition of unknown cause in which the bone formation is out of synchrony with normal bone remodeling…
2] Bleeding or infection in the pelvis : – Bleeding in the pelvis is rare without significant trauma and is usually seen in patients who are taking blood-thinning medications, such as warfarin(Coumadin)…
3] Infection of the cartilage and/or bone of the spine : – Infection of the discs (septic discitis) and bone (osteomyelitis) is extremely rare. These conditions lead to localized pain associated with fever…
4] Aneurysm of the aorta : – In the elderly, atherosclerosis can cause weakening of the wall of the large arterial blood vessel (aorta) in the abdomen…
5] Shingles : – Shingles (Herpes zoster) is an acute infection of the nerves that supply sensation to the skin, generally at one or several spinal levels and on one side of the body (right or left)…
How is low back pain treated?
The treatment very much depends on the precise cause of the low back pain. Moreover, each patient must be individually evaluated and managed in the context of the underlying background health status and activity level…
